Tackling the Patient-Related Violence Epidemic in the ED
Workplace violence is one of the most complex and dangerous occupational hazards facing healthcare workers today. Any employee who fears going to work is more likely to leave that employer, and hospitals know what that means to their ED recruiting, staffing and operations if they cannot find solutions to address the potential for violent patient behavior. However, real time data can provide the answer. When providers can collaborate and share risk data and notifications with downstream healthcare providers at registration and points of care, then care staff can be notified and take the precautions needed to stay safe and keep patients safe.
In this episode, Lisa Weatherwax, Senior Clinical Solutions Lead, PointClickCare, will be talking with Dr. Brian Patel, Chief Medical Officer at Sturdy Health in Massachusetts, on steps they are taking to curb, control and improve instances of workplace violence and keeping their staff safe at the bedside.
This podcast is sponsored by PointClickCare.
