Take a Breath
Do you ever notice that you are holding your breath for no reason at all? Maybe when you are focusing on a task?Maybe when you are apprehensive or waiting for something?Holding your breath can contribute to increasing anxiety, depression, overwhelm, and burnout - none of which set us up to think about what we want for the second half of our lives. On this episode we'll talk about how to notice whether you are holding your breath, why it matters, and a couple of easy strategies to - literally - take a breath. Were you interested in that bookclub I mentioned? We're reading Life in Five Senses by Gretchen Rubin. We got started on June 1 but if you'd like to join us, you are still welcome. Join the Facebook group here. We'll be reading Bittersweet by Susan Cain next month. Keep an eye out here for a link to that group.Too burned out to even consider a bookclub?
