Testimony of Heather King Heather King is a Los Angeles based writer, blogger, and speaker. Heather was raised on the coast of New Hampshire. She is the oldest of eight children from a Protestant family. She was considered the intelligent one with lots of drive. She is an ex-lawyer, a contemplative and Catholic convert. Heather has written many books and memoirs which detail her journey through 20 years of alcoholism, lymes disease, breast cancer, childlessness, and a broken marriage. Her story is like the prodigal daughter who squandered her inheritance. Heathers conversion to Catholicism took place in 1996 around the same time she left her career as a very successful lawyer in Los Angeles to fulfill a lifelong goal of becoming a writer. The Church formed her and allowed her womanhood to come to fullness. The Church gives her a sense of purpose and a place of comfort to sustain her. Heathers story is one of passion and grit in the face of life’s trials and disappointments. Her writing has been depicted as riveting words and a lost soul that was found. Heather speaks nationwide and is a monthly contributor to the Magnificat publication.
