The Daily Score: Can Cubs make successful push to playoffs?
From 'The Daily Score' (subscribe here): In the Friday edition of The Daily Score, Chris Emma — in for Mark Grote — discussed the Cubs' final 15 games of the regular season as the club makes a push for the postseason (00:18). Chris also shared changes he hopes to see in the Cubs' lineup (02:18) before giving manager David Ross credit for his management of the bullpen (03:38). Later, Emma listened to Cubs general manager Carter Hawkins, during a visit with The Score's Bernstein and Holmes, discuss communication with the club's young players regarding their respective roles during the team's playoff push (04:57). Chris also reacted to Hawkins' update on Marcus Stroman (09:28). The Cubs right-hander has been sidelined since July 31, initially by a hip injury before he was then diagnosed with the rib cartilage fracture. Emma wrapped up with a preview of the Bears-Buccaneers Week 2 game in Tampa Bay (14:25).
