He operated for approximatley 4 years across the French countryside and is known for his gruesome and violent crimes. <br/>Between 1894 and 1897, Vacher embarked on a horrifying murder spree across the French countryside. He primarily targeted young shepherds, particularly boys and girls, but his victims included people of various ages.
