The Houli’s Hooley Podcast, Sat. August 12, 2023
Paddy Houlihan, Bill Houlihan, and Clay O’Brien Fox’s Pizza, Guinness, Big Corner Tavern and Flood Brothers Disposal present The Houli’s Hooley with brothers Paddy and Bill Houlihan and Clay is back this week. The terrific trio is reunited once again! “It’s been a musical chairs of July!” – Paddy. They’re still talking about the Card Show and both Clay and Paddy attended. They share some of the strangest things they witnessed there. What kinda people attend these things? Furries, apparently… We’re not even at the 5 minute mark and the madness has already begun to enfold. The lads are thinking of attending the Tobacco Convention where they hope to launch some of their past cigarette-related projects.. Clay’s celebrating the new street outside his home and Bill delves into some Golf Talk. In Sports Talk this week they focus on the local Little League success. They’re starting another band and this time they’re called ‘The Davids’.. And on that note, we take a musical break at the halfway mark with “To Live And Die In L.A.” by Wang Chung. The guys open the second half of this week’s wacky show with a discussion on some of the best movie car chases. There are plenty of new ideas from this terrible trio including their own version of Shark Tank “with scheming”. The wonderment surrounding Tim Werewolf; the monster baseball player, David Portnoy’s return to Barstool ownership and the future of AI in film are just some of the other crazy topics they discuss this week. It’s always a treat when we have the trio together and they end another great one this week with “The Weight” by The Band in memory of the late Robbie Robertson.
