The Murder of 14-year-old Anastasia Kriegel
This week's episode begins in 2006, in Novokuznetsk – a large industrial city situated in south-western Siberia, Russia.
Irish couple Geraldine and Patric Kriegel weren't planning on adopting a child when they visited an orphanage in the Russian city, but when they set eyes on two-year-old Anastasia, their hearts melted and they knew they had to rescue her.
Binging her home with them to Lucan, a small town on the outskirts of Dublin, Anastasia was set for a life of privilege... But very sadly, fate had a different plan in store for her...
This is a terribly upsetting case that sees us delve in to the disturbing subject of child-on-child murder.
