The Non Perfect Parents Club: Chatting with Kelly

In this episode I am joined by Kelly, Mum of 3. We talk lots about judgement; how Kelly felt judged on the age gaps of her children- one big and one small (damned if you do, damned if you don't), and because she won't just leave her children with anyone. Kelly also questions if judgement is affected by who you're surrounded by! Kelly talks about how she has to parent her children very differently, how children deserve respect too, and the intrusive thoughts she sometimes get. One piece of advice of Kelly's that has always really stuck with me is how 'car chats' were a great connection and communication tool with her eldest daughter and we touch on this along with how Kelly wants to live for everyday, which really inspired me to stop and think about whether this is something I do.
