The Story of Paul: In Between the Lines
What shaped Paul’s life before his transformation? We reach out to Bible Scholar Brad Gray for the answer. Brad Gray is the Founder of Walking the Text and the Host for the upcoming television show, The Sacred Thread. He is a national speaker, study trip leader, and Bible expert whose lifework has centered on helping people understand the original context of the Bible. He is the author of Make Your Mark: Getting Right What Samson Got Wrong. Brad shares the significance of Paul’s upbringing, that he likely came from affluence and would have had a first class education. Paul eventually rejected the teaching of his rabbi Gamaliel because he wasn’t zealous enough. After Paul’s transformation there was a season of 6-10 years where he likely had to relearn the story of God before he went on his first missionary journey. What does this have to do with you and me? God uses every part of our story for His glory. Nothing is wasted. But it doesn’t happen overnight. Don’t give up. Keep your eyes on Jesus and trust God for His plan. Also in this episode, Perry admits” Sometimes I feel like a failure and a fraud.” And Shawna shares where she finds hope.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
