Dr. Dobmeier and Dr. Outland dive into a conversation about the effects of incarceration on elders, women, and people of color, as well as their needs post incarceration. Dr. Robert Dobmeier is a professor in the SUNY Brockport Counselor Education Department and has worked as a mental health counselor, supervisor, and director and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. He has published on mental health challenges faced by college students, spirituality in counseling, and justice for individuals who are incarcerated. Dr. Rafael Outland is a father, educator, researcher, and critical scholar. He holds a doctorate degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Rochester.
