The Weekly Top 3 (7.24.2023)
Welcome to The Weekly Top 3 — our look at the top 3 things on our mind here at Alaskans for Sustainable Budgets — for the week of July 24, 2023.This week our top 3 issues are these: 1) our periodic update on how oil prices and production are doing — this time as we start the new fiscal year — and what that might mean if the trends continue as the fiscal year plays out (2:06); 2) the $8 billion question around the claim, by some, that the PF earnings reserve is in trouble (19:07); and 3) recent developments around an old capital spending issue, and how those should inform our judgment going forward on new projects (28:01).

The Weekly Top 3 is a regular weekly segment on The Michael Dukes Show. The Show broadcasts on Facebook and YouTubeLive as well as via streaming audio from the Show’s website weekdays from 6–8am. We join Michael weekly in the first hour of Tuesday’s show, from 6:25–7am, for a discussion between the two of us about our three issues.
