This Blocks Christian Maturity

There is an exhortation to avoid celebrity preachers. Be careful. Be discerning. Ministries based upon style and personality and not content will block your spiritual growth and unity in fellowship. There is only one legitimate ministry within the church and that is the ministry of Christ by the Spirit through the Scripture. Christ has given pastor-teachers, evangelists, and so on, not to promote themselves but to bring you to maturity and unity in Him.
