Topic - finding your career purpose and persevering with setbacks (with Hanane Aslama-Lanjri)
Topic would be about finding your career purpose and persevering with setbacks.
I’m a career and mindset coach for ambitious professional women who feel lost and frustrated in their current job because they feel undervalued and underappreciated. They know they are capable and deserve more. I coach them to see how capable they are so they are confident to speak up and pursue their career with purpose, while still being authentic.
I work fulltime while building my coaching business that I started just over a year ago (Aug 2021). I’ve been through 3 redundancies and changed career paths about 8 times. I’ve worked in Learning & Development for 9 years taking on different roles. It was after my 2nd redundancy (2018) where I started to get curious about coaching. In my current day job I’m helping to embed a coaching culture.
I became an in-house coach where I learnt just how unhappy people where, and how they had huge potential but where being overlooked. I’ve coached many women through improving their current situation and through career changes, including being put at risk and going through redundancy. I realised I could do more and help even more women outside of my workplace, which is why I started my coaching business.
I believe the core to being happy and having a successful career is focusing on what your purpose is followed by staying aligned to your values.
