Howdy and welcome to the EEARSS by Alligator Robb Podcast Produced by Terrier TV and its students at Titusville High School. Its the Start of Season 3!! I couldn’t think of a better way to start of season 3, then by having the Executive Director of one of the most tremendously important organizations in Central Florida. The Florida Wildlife Hospital is celebrating 50 years!!! Since 1973, Florida Wildlife Hospital (FWH) has rescued, rehabilitated, and released thousands of sick, injured, and orphaned native Florida animals in Brevard County. Located in Palm Shores, Florida, FWH is available 365 days a year to admit wildlife patients. They care for more than 5,000 patients per year, Over 6000 last year (A number that will continue to grow as central Florida grows).  There is never charge for animal care, and they receive no state or federal funding. FWH is the only facility of its kind in the area and provides immeasurable and critical value to the community and to the lives of the wildlife cared for at their facility. Since most of the wild animals brought to their clinic suffer from injuries or problems caused by humans, they not only aim to help animals in need, but to educate the public on how they can reduce their impact on local wildlife. Absolutely wonderful discussion and a great opportunity to have some insight on all they do with FWH and getting to know their outstanding Executive Director. We finish up with some trivia.
