Mrs. Ihitashri is a UN award-winning Cultural Entrepreneur and Sustainability Champion, who believes in the power of art & entrepreneurship to tackle the social challenges of rural livelihood, cultural preservation and women empowerment.
After dedicating almost a decade to the corporate world, specializing in Supply Chain Management and Enterprise Resource Planning, Ihitashri launched her visionary Social Enterprise, 'MITHILAsmita.' Its primary mission was to showcase and champion the exquisite Madhubani Paintings of India while also extending vital support to rural women artists.
In this special episode, she shares about her experience of switching her career from corporate world to social entrepreneurship and cultural preservation, challenges faced while advocating for women's economic empowerment, balance between cultural and modern art and more.
