Wednesday 7/19 - Jonathan Taylor Contact Talks, An Interview with Edgerrin James, also Matt Taylor and Kyle Cummins are on the show!

(00:00 - 26:40) - The Wednesday edition of Kevin & Query kicks off with the announcement that Edgerrin James will be joining the program to talk about the upcoming Colts season! What is the new Netflix series "Quarterbacks" like? Anthony Richardson has still yet to sign his NFL contract. Marc and Jake throw around their picks to join the "Quarterbacks" series. Carson Wentz has nowhere to go but up with the current NFL landscape. Remember when Russel Wilson was almost a Colt? A recap of how Peyton Manning changed the game for quarterbacks.  (26:41 - 30:31) - Morning Checkdown   (30:32 - 46:10) - Former Indianapolis Colt Edgerrin James joins the show to give his take on the Jonathan Taylor situation. James argues that valuing your running game only makes the rest of the team stronger. In a lot of ways, the stronger your running game the better a team's passing game can become. He talks about his training program and why he'd choose to train in hotter weather to maintain better shape for the regular season. Training with college students in order to continue to raise his game and being closer to his family. Training camp always gave James a boost in energy. Jake asks about James's impression of Anthony Richardson. He believes that Richardson has the ability to become a complete player and has all the tools around him necessary to excel.  (46:11 - 1:12:59) - Videos of Shaquille Leonard working out have been shared on social media. He posted a video of himself on Instagram yesterday running shuttle drills. He has only played a handful of minutes since a misdiagnosed ankle problem last season, where the root of the problem was actually nerves in his back. Jake prompts listeners to call in and guess what he thinks the answer is.  (1:33:14 - 2:02:32) - Matt Taylor the radio play-by-play voice of the Indianapolis Colts comes onto the show. After a joint rant with Jake about the disasters of printing, Taylor gives some great insight into what goes into game prep for a broadcaster. Taylor digs into the Anthony Richardson contract situation. He feels confident that the issue with the contract must be minor given all the rules the NFL already has on rookie pay. The most interesting story for the Colts outside of Anthony Richardson and Shaquille Leonard is the team's cornerback situation. Taylor talks about the different confidence levels of players going into the 2023 season. Do Colt's players get injured more often than other teams, and does the turf surface have anything to do with it? Cummins talks about the comradery within the racing community and how other racers/teams will work together to make sure a car can make the race.
