Why We Moil for Oil

In this first miniseries of Season 2, we're exploring "Petronationalism". Why have petroleum products played such a significant role in the development of nation-states? There's a story of imperialism here with strong consequences for our ongoing crisis shaped by Russia's invasion of Ukraine, but also something deeper.
