Harvey Norman CEO and Women in League Founder Katie Page believes that the success women's Rugby League is currently enjoying is only the beginning. This years 'Women in League' round marks the first time the event will be celebrated across both the NRL and the NRLW, reflecting the continued growth of the women's game. While there have been critics of the decision to expanded the NRLW to 10 teams this year, Page told The Continuous Call Team she was never concerned about the move. "The risk was you wouldn't get the broadcast coverage... as long as you have media covering this your fine " Page said. "Very few people can get to the games when you look at the population of Australia, when you look at the amount of games we have on free to air... that's made an enormous difference" While Page is quick to acknowledge the success of the women's game, she says more needs to be done to ensure it reaches its full potential.
