Mario is a Navy veteran, Indigenous Mayan, outdoor enthusiasts, and the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the nonprofit Un Mar De Colores. Their mission is to inspire and cultivate diversity, inclusivity, and ocean stewardship through surf therapy, outdoor education, and mentorship to underserved youth and kids of color.
