#109 Psychedelics changed our lives with Rory & Ryan Van Tuinen
I met Rory and Ryan in their upstairs office. They have a beautiful little Victorian home that they rented from the church. Cultivating connections as their business and their podcast they started as two brothers who have come back together after a winding journey. Overtime and probably through depression, Rory got into drugs and became addicted to heroin. Ryan who battled heavy depression, turned to psychedelics as a form of therapeutic resolve after trying and failing to get results through prescription medication. It was through his journey with psychedelics that his brother Rory also gave it a shot. They share their stories of heartbreak and triumph that they've experienced separately, together as brothers, and as a whole family. Their parents, interestingly enough and rather ironically, one is a psychiatrist and the other worked as a medical nurse. Rory and Ryan have a beautiful story of what it's like to overcome some really hard challenges and come back together with a purpose. They started cultivating connections as a result of Ryan’s first time using and the profound experience that had on him after years of being described prescribe Adderall alongside a bunch of other medications to control his depression and he felt for the first time that he had hope to get off those drugs and that there is a possibility of being better without being sedated. Along his journey he grabbed his brother Rory, they started a beautiful little ritual they do on Sundays which you can hear more about on their podcast. I hope you join to listening to hear how no matter how bad things become that purpose can be built into that path into those lessons and they give the foundation for change, for doing good in this world, and I can’t wait to follow Rory and Ryan story. For more of Rory and Ryan visit their website to learn about their business Cultivating Connections HEREListen to their incredible podcast on Spotify here: https://open.spotify.com/show/5eEZM29v2msFcC2pi469r4?si=a54d7761877348a9<br /> For behind the scenes content of the making of The Jar, meet the guests, see some footage of unreleased podcast episodes and more visit : https://www.youtube.com/channe....l/UCaTqB1dhDvl0Oh505 be a guest on the show email us at thejarguest@gmail.com or visit our webpage : https://www.thejar.live/Follow The Jar on Instagram : https://www.instagram.com/thejar_podcast/Follow The Jar on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/podcast.thejarDisclaimer: The views stated in this episode are our guest's opinions and do not represent the views, beliefs or opinions of The Jar Podcast.
