Welcome to A Woman’s Brew, where women talk about beer! Some of the most interesting innovation in craft beer can come from historical sources. In this episode we have gathered together a selection of beers that come from historical recipes and practices. Starting with Bishop’s Finger from the oldest brewery in the UK, Shepherd Neame, moving to a mild recipe from 1916 by Elusive and Partizan, Holy Goat make an appearance with their 1897 export stout and finishing with a 200th anniversary oude gueuze from Lindemans. We cover the gambit of the oldest bottled beer, old recipes bought back to life and celebration of traditional beer making techniques. Brewing is such an interesting art!
