115. Trust as Currency: Strategies For Success in the Trust Economy [Interview with Michelle Hughes]
Did you know that the level of trust is directly correlated with your profitability, especially when you're in a serviced based profession? And: it's now meaurable and trackable. This week's episode will give you mindblowing insights from a research this week's guest conducted as part of her MBA studies and trust me when I say: you want to take notes because trust is becoming the competitive advantage [in pretty much every industry and profession]. Why? Because whilst everyone is still talking about us being in the knowledge economy, what I’m already excited about is the next iteration thanks to the rise of AI, deep fakes and their likes - the trust economy. In the end, whether we engage someone or not - may it be a person, a company or brand comes down to how much we trust. But it doesn’t stop there - trust also impacts the profitability and likelihood of being sued and prosecuted. However, it has been hard to proof and make it measurable - until now because today’s guest has done ground breaking work as part of her MBA program where she researched trust in professional services, in particular for lauders. is this week’s guest and for those who haven’t had the pleasure to connect with her yet, do yourself a favour and reach out to her. Not only is she an accomplished Executive Leader, with a decade of expertise in steering growth, innovation, team development, process efficiency, client experience, and quality behind her but she has also held the pivotal position of Chief Marketing Officer at McCarthy Durie Lawyers, where she orchestrated firm revenue, spearheaded innovation, and ensured rigorous compliance. Her track record is punctuated by the successful implementation of automated customer feedback systems, with new development on AI and CRM integrations, and the achievement of substantial revenue growth milestones. This conversation delivers the goods and you may want to listen it a couple of times as Michelle’s findings are beyond fascinating and a good wake up call for professional services to prepare for this next trust economy.
