#126 College through covid with John & Jacob
We need our next guests John and Jacob on the back porch at the Airbnb here in Dover. Kind of cool because we met John and Jake up the night before at the bonfire that was held by some other long-term guests. They met their freshman year at 18 and now are finally on campus together after the first couple years with Covid that’s a really bizarre and surreal that they're experiencing college in person for the first time as a junior. John Zechiel, stone state guy from Jacobson New Hampshire both come from divorced homes. John had an interesting dichotomy, spiritual mom, devout, Catholic father, devout, atheist Jake up a little bit more traditional, and they’re both on this kind of their own spiritual journey, discovering their own beliefs. Where they fit in this universe, and it was a great conversation, where they talked about how their forestry major, putting them out in nature, and seeing the synchronicity of life, the complexity of how the earth is built, and in that they have found their own connection to the universe. Great to see such good friends from different backgrounds with some commonalities become good friends and to see that they’re on the journey where they’re young and have so much life ahead so much life experience, but you can see they’re gonna be lifelong friends. Did they talk about that you need a network of friends you can communicate with to help manage the mental challenges of life but you do that you have to grow your network and expand outside 100% like you, and then that you have to get uncomfortable to find a place of comfort with your own beliefs. Listen in to John and Jake to hear a really inspiring story.
