Rob Barlow (he/him) is a partner, a mountaineer, and ultrarunner. He holds the current supported FKT for the self-powered (no car) hiking of Colorado's 100 highest mountains, biking between mountain ranges (105 peaks, 2100 miles, 300,000’ vertical gain, 70 days). He has completed the Nolan’s 14 in under 60 hours. Rob has been to the top of a Colorado 14er 517 times (there are 58). Rob has also summited Mt. Rainier (Washington State, 14,410’) via the Kautz glacier (Alaska Grade II/III); Iztaccihuatl (Mexico, 17,159’), Pico de Orizaba (Mexico, 18,490’), and Kilimanjaro (Tanzania, 19,341’). He was a lawyer with the Denver District Attorney’s Office and recently started his own law firm. Rob has also raised money for the American Lung Association.

Rob and Max discuss multiple fourteener routes and efforts during different months of the year. Rob talks about failure as part of the human process and it's the consequence of putting yourself out there and trying. He has learned to listen better to his body and has grown to be okay being vulnerable and being willing to rely on others.

Rob lives on Núu-agha-tʉvʉ-pʉ̱ land.Book recommendation:
The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk

Check out more about Rob: barlow.rl@gmail.com & IG @rlmbarlow

When in Grand Junction, CO, check out: Grass Roots Cycles www.grassroots-cycles.com Support the showYou are a big deal.
Your story matters.
Keep showing up.

Subscribe: https://www.buzzsprout.com/2051242/support
Follow Becca Jay on IG @beccajay.getuptraining
