A Justin Pugh Giants reunion? Standout free agent guard "100% definitely eyeing" a NYC return
Ep. 49 of Talkin' Ball with Pat Leonard, the New York Daily News' NFL columnist and Giants beat writer. Pat sits down 1-on-1 with free agent 10-year veteran offensive guard Justin Pugh, who says he’s looking to sign with a contender and is ‘definitely eyeing’ a possible reunion with the Giants. Pugh, a former Giants first-round pick who played the past five years with the Arizona Cardinals, reveals how many teams he’s spoken to, how healthy and confident he is about contributing in 2023, and whether he misses the New York media. The standout left guard also lists his Top Five NFL Defensive Tackles and Fronts, discusses whether screaming works for head coaches in the pros, and defines what leadership means to him. In addition, Pugh discusses the criticism that Cardinals QB Kyler Murray has received, shares a feel-good update on his former Jersey City neighbor Bill, lists some of his Super Bowl contenders, and lobbies the American Century Championship at Lake Tahoe for a future invitation due to his impressive golf game honed out in the desert.
