Every Monday Sarah Scudder be going live with Lindsay Smith at 10am CT to discuss direct materials sourcing in manufacturing news for the week. The target audience? Procurement and supply chain peeps working for small and mid-sized manufacturers. However, this month,  Lindsay is leaving us to go to Europe for a month. How dare he?!  We tried to convinve him to let Sarah tag along in his luggage but her 6' tall self is not conducive to folding and bending to speak into a foreign country. So, Jeff Brown is stepping in to serve as our direct materials and manufacturing expert for the month of June and today we dive into Part One of How to Accelerate your Supply Chain Career. Jeff ain't too shabby. He is a 20-year COO and GM, who’s led Operations, Supply Chain and entire divisions for companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Boston Scientific, Endologix, Steris and others. Jeff was the keynote speaker for the med device industry’s largest annual event last year (topic supply chain recovery post Covid), and was named the "Top Exec in Medtech" by the Golden Bridge Awards. Jeff is a lean evangelist and is one of the most recommended leaders on all of LinkedIn.
