Are you doing the shadow work to stop the programming dieting culture imposes on us? Anything you don’t like around yourself is shadow work. Shadow work = questioning shame Diet culture is the water we swim in.. Diet culture wants us to believe that thinness & dieting equals health.. & our culture perpetuates that the pursuit of it equals more “superiority”. There’s this bullsh*t idea that the smaller you are as a woman the better you are. The fact is that its against human nature to have one standard of beauty! & then to connect that standard of beauty to every woman.. Is just wild! Any thoughts of hatred or lack of acceptance for your body aren’t your thoughts! The fact is that not everyone’s bodies do the same thing.. Not everyone’s body does the same thing.. Not everyone benefits from a 4am wake up call. You can’t generalize.. Calories are calories.. There aren’t good foods & bad foods! Some foods feel better & work better in your body.. Some foods make you feel bloated.. Some foods spike your blood sugar.. & that’s different for everyone! All super important to understand.. But when you start to say “good” or “bad”.. You’re making a judgement. Intuitive eating = desire is the emotion Dieting = ego / fear is the emotion Ending this rant with the fact that we need to stop shaming our intuition around food! & raise our consciousness to the standard of beauty that truly aligns to our souls.. Not what society feeds our subconscious minds.
