Behold, Black Beauty Brewing!
We love when Maryland gains a new brewery, especially in Prince George's County. We’re so excited to welcome Black Beauty Brewery, PG County’s second Black-owned brewing company.
Jordan sits down with Sheldon Goins, founder of Black Beauty Brewery, to hear how a setback during the pandemic led to starting a brewing company. Sheldon graduated with a criminal justice degree and found himself working in IT. But when he comes home, brewing calls his name. We talk about navigating the challenge of licensing, cold weather beers coming down the pike, and which beer styles Black Beauty will feature most.
In other news, we discuss how a traditional beer style won Best in Show at the 2022 Maryland Craft Beer Competition and other Maryland beers we’re excited to drink in these coming cold winter days.
Keep up to date with everything happening at DCBeer.com, and @DCBeer on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Email us at beershow@dcbeer.com.
There are many events happening this week! Don’t miss them by checking out the DC Beer event calendar here. Breweries, distilleries, restaurants, and others who want us to announce new releases can provide that information at DC.beer/releases.
