Welcome back to episode 31! I’m here with Caitlin Dumlupinar, who has been a listener of the show for a while, and was kind enough to reach out to me to suggest that I open up the conversation around parents who have children with special needs. Caitlin’s son Atlas, was recently diagnosed with Autism, so I invited her on the show to speak on her experience and journey in dealing with his diagnosis. Although Caitlin has gone through some really difficult experiences in her life, from ending a 10 year relationship, to losing her first pregnancy, to finding out the diagnosis of her son’s autism, to being diagnosed with cervical cancer herself, Caitlin remains grateful and positive throughout all of the trials and tribulations that life throws at us sometimes. Her strength, and positivity is so admirable, and she sets such a great example for anyone out there going through anything tough in life. Caitlin’s attitude is inspiring, and I’m just so beyond thankful that she was courageous enough to open up and share her story. This conversation is heavy, yet so light hearted at the same time.
