Canterbury Tales
Putney Theatre Company on Tour! At two outdoor venues this year, PTC brings you their funny, fast paced, modern English version of The Canterbury Tales.

Inspired by Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales but re-written into modern day English with hilarious effect, this fun version loses none of the charm of the original tales that have had such an enduring legacy on popular culture.

Brought together by the Hostess of the Tabard Inn, we join our group of travellers on the way to Canterbury, among them the Wife of Bath, with her bawdy manners, The Pardoner and his relics, the anxious Cook, and the Prioress with her dog.

This outdoor production is a delight for the senses with the cast performing in promenade style with lots of physical theatre, dancing and singing.

The Hurlingham Festival,
The Hurlingham Club, Fulham
Just over Putney Bridge!

August 30th – September 2nd
Wednesday–Friday performances: 7.15pm
Saturday performance: 2.30pm

Tickets and info:
https://putneyartstheatre.org.uk/event-5304387

Cast
The Cook - Helen Wood
The Franklin - Richard Seedhouse
The Hostess - Penny Weatherall
The Miller - Oliver Robert-Vale
The Pardoner - Will Hunter
The Prioress - Megan Good
The Reeve - Aidan Kershaw
The Wife of Bath - Cait Hart Dyke

Director: Frances Bodiam
Composer and Musical Director: Perry Kitchen
Physical Theatre & Choreographer: Penny Weatherall

Crew:
Production Manager: Sarah Jillings
Stage Manager: Helen Wood
ASM: Sarah Kitchen
Graphics and Videos: Nick Wells

Do come join us at The Hurlingham Festival – a four-day cultural feast!
