You are not your thoughts…. <br/><br/>We put emphasis on training our bodies, but never our own minds. <br/><br/>All the anxiety that stops you from socialising, all the urges to eat junk food, every time you procrastinate on something you should be doing<br/><br/>All of this comes from a place of attaching to whatever the contents of your mind are.<br/><br/>But this docent have to be the normal mode of being. <br/><br/>There is a place from where you can sit back and observe what’s going on in your experience <br/><br/>And when you can do this, you start to realise that, the anxiety that you get talking to a pretty girl, or socialising with some old friends, that urge to eat junk food when your supposed to be dieting, the lack of self belief to change your Job and try something new, all of this is not you. there just things arising in your conscious experience <br/><br/>And this is why mediation is so important, it’s about becoming the observer of your mind instead of its slave.
