Drops of God Inspired Blind Taste Test
We were inspired by the new wine show on Apple TV+ called ‘Drops of God’. It’s a fantastic show based on a Japanese Manga series where a daughter has to compete in a wine competition against her father’s protege to be able to win her father's inheritance. The inheritance includes an 87,000-bottle cellar worth nearly $150 million! One of the competitions was a blind taste test where the competitors had to see, smell, and taste a wine to determine the wines variety, region, winery, and vintage. In this episode, Trent and I conduct a similar test based on 2 bottles of wine which we had individually chosen. At the end of the episode we revealed the wines were a 2012 Giaconda McClay Rd Nebbiolo, Beechworth Victoria ($79 from Dan Murphy’s) and a 2008 Henschke Keyneton Euphonium, Barossa Valley, South Australia (~$80). Listen to the episode to see how well we performed in the test.#wine #podcast #nebbiolo #cabernet #henschke #giaconda #barossa #beechworth #appletv #dropsofgodFollow Us on YouTube (@TheWinedUp), Instagram (The.Wined.Up), Tik Tok (@TheWinedUp), Spotify (The Wined Up), and Apple Podcasts (The Wined Up).
