Susan Spell is a nurse practitioner in Jacksonville, FL, double board certified in family and lifestyle medicine. Her healthcare experience spans almost 30 years the last 17 of which have been as a family nurse practitioner. Susie received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing from UNC Chapel Hill and began her career down the road in Duke University’s Medical Center. These early experiences laid the foundation for her appreciation of and commitment to evidenced-based care. She discovered lifestyle medicine in 2018. This discovery changed the trajectory of her life, both personally and professionally, and her passion for people (and planet) was reignited. She realized just how powerful low tech, low cost lifestyle interventions really are. Susan Spell continues a part time clinical practice in primary care and is also founder of Vital Transformations - her highly personalized health consultation and coaching practice where she helps people make the often difficult changes (including mindset as well as behaviors) related to diet, exercise, sleep, and stress management that are required to be truly well in our culture today. When she doesn't have her nose in a book or isn't listening to a podcast, you might just find her dancing in the kitchen or hugging a tree. She tries not to take herself so seriously and thinks laughing is essential to daily life.

RESOURCES:

Vital Transformations Website
Vital Transformations Podcast
(Book) Live Long, Die Short
(Book) "I Am Enough" Workbook
