Ep. 168: Scout Durwood & Atlantic City Dreams
To be a clown fronting acrobats, contortionists, and all sorts of other performers capable of astounding physical feats in a gambling town is something that seems, at first glance, to be at the core of clowning itself, an impossible task. Yet, amazing comedy multi-hyphenate/dancer Scout Durwood has uprooted herself from LA to do just that in Atlantic City. That's in addition to constantly writing, developing a solo show, putting out music, and figuring out LA style comforts and queer community in a place as straight as Atlantic City. TCB's Jake Kroeger goes deep with Durwood on her many journeys (professional, emotional, self-discovery) that brought her to this milestone in comedy and in her life and where she's looking towards in the distant and not so distant future. Follow Scout Durwood @scoutdurwood across socials and check out her cover for "Hanky Panky", complete with music video, on Jun. 23rd.
