Recently the Commander of AFSOC, Air Force Special Operations Command, sent a letter to his chain of command asking for the combat dive school and qualification to be removed from the Air Force Special Warfare pipeline. Specifically affected are Special Tactics Officers, Combat Controllers, and Special Reconnaissance career fields.
