Ep. 409: Censoring Yourself In Front of Your Parents
After a girls weekend in Vegas with her mom, Jill received some interesting comments about showing “too much skin” in front of her mom. Correct us if we’re wrong but our moms literally made us, so why should we be ashamed to show our bodies in front of them? Maybe it’s a fear of disappointing our parents, or maybe some of just want to be spared from judgmental comments, but shit… we’re all adults here! If we can’t be ourselves—tight dresses, swear words, and all—in front of our parents, then aren’t we denying our family the chance to truly know us? Seems like a lose-lose situation to us.
