After-Shows
DEEP AS THE SKY, RED AS THE SEA is a swashbuckling adventure through the South China Seas of Pirates and Emperors. This story resonates with some of the same issues of class and race and sex that we still deal with in modern times. But in the hands of Rita Chang-Eppig we get characters that are fully formed and full of bravado and flamboyance. The strength of the main character Shek Yeung had me rooting for her from page one through the entire adventure.
