Episode 11: Compassion is a Verb, Love - Chet & Tee Part 2
PART 2!!! I’m so excited to have had Tee come back. Tee is a long-time friend, amazing communicator, and mental health professional so she brings her expertise to the table as we discuss a lot of things that are relevant in today’s society, from self-discipline to self-compassion, and brings a sweetness to the “Tee” by adding a professional perspective to the mix.We had some technical difficulties so it means a lot that she made sitting down with your girl again a priority for her. We made it happen and it’s EVEN better than the first time we recorded. Part 1 was spicy, but part 2 is for the people who have been down on themselves about any and everything. We aren’t perfect and that’s why…In today’s episode:We finished up our drive down the friendship memory lane but also talked about social media beef, the stress that those types of unhealthy coping mechanisms can bring, and a bunch of other things that can happen if you don’t heal yourself and the way you view friendships. We talk about compassion–giving it to yourself and others. We discuss the importance of compassion as it relates to discipline and self-care.We travel through the woes of parenting from a space of trauma and overcoming that through compassion and healing and not wanting to parent for the sake of “not showing up how your parents did” or simply “doing better than they did.”Provide some encouragement to those who may have not been seeingResources:Don’t Hit Snooze - Wheel of LifeDon’t Hit Snooze - Eisenhower Matrix AdaptationJoin the Challenge Fam for the “What the Buck?!” 100-Day ChallengeFYI, we’re still doing the “What the Buck?!” Challenge; I just haven’t had a chance to talk about it, so I hope you’ve still been able to do the challenge norms everyday! Imma check in with y’all soon, so keep it up!!!! Keep going!!! Keep up the amazing work!!!
