Welcome to Episode 21! Recorded in the beautiful Gili Trawangan, Indonesia. Yes that is right, HTLT goes GLOBAAAAAL.In this weeks episode you get to meet my very close friend Kazi (Laura Kazimierska) -even after all this time I still have to double check I have spelled her surname correctly lol. Kazi and I met living in the stunning Gili Islands and have been best of best friends ever since. She is a passionate ocean advocate, scuba diver and PADI course director. AKA PADI-mierska.This episode is a little unique as Kazi has a Polish heritage so it makes for a very interesting conversation around how the trauma related to the war and the communist society truly affected her family and also herself growing up. This is something I have not come across with my prior guests. We talk through many different things in this episode. Including how growing up with a strong emphasis placed on having to be very strong women and not rely on men impacted her relationships, how searching for acceptance and validation in her teens/early twenties meant she accepted sub-par behaviours and the things she did in turn to punish herself. She tells us about how a family friend recognised that she needed some help and a really cool approach to healing family trauma called 'constellation therapy' which I had personally not heard of before! Hear also why scuba diving is good for her/your mental health. This was so much fun to record, enjoy listening in to me and my BFF having a chat lol.You can find Kazi at @laura_kazi_diving or https://www.divemastergilis.com/ Alternatively hit up @trawangandive and let them know I sent you. Some websites with info on constellation therapyhttps://www.naturaltherapypage....s.com.au/spiritual/f you for taking the time to listen, I am SO glad that you are here with me today!Find ME on instagram at either @hightidelowtideau or @a_girl_and_the_oceanPlease note that in these episodes we will discuss mental health and all that it entails.
