Episode 46; 1921 Parma OH Teacher Murders & 2016 Columbus Restaurant Machete Attack
Not gonna lie, Crime Family, Episode 46 caught us a little bit by surprise. We both independently came up with 'hometown' stories and didn't plan it that way. So, we welcome you on our trips down memory lane, as we have seen too much heaviness in the news lately and just needed to turn down the heat on current events. For a record-setting third episode in a row, Beth is back as the bad guy. This week she covers a murder that took place in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio in 1921. Parma Township, the predecessor to the City of Parma, was a rural farming community that had a tiny, one-room schoolhouse called the Parma Central School. In February, 1921, its two teachers were brutally bludgeoned to death on a rural road on the way to catch the streetcar home. Hear the details of the case, the theories, and the suspects. Also, we'll discuss the well-intentioned but mindless destruction of the crime scene by local searchers, which is likely why this haunting case remains unsolved 101 years later.Bailey also takes us back to her hometown in the northeast suburbs of Columbus, Ohio. In 2016, a beloved local restaurant was targeted in a terroristic machete attack that injured four people, several critically. The aftermath of this attack nearly wiped out the restaurant, but Bailey will fill you in on how the victims are doing six years later. She'll also tell how the Owner of the Nazareth Restaurant has fared through the years, and how his positive outlook is part of his local appeal. When you finish this episode, please go check out Deb and Beth (or Shelby) at Dying to be Found, whose trailer you hear at the beginning. We are podcaster buddies with Deb and we were honored to be invited to join her in her Episode 41 a couple of weeks ago. So please give Dying to be Found a listen, and subscribe so you won't miss any of their episodes. We are feeling a little bit nostalgic after this episode, so we are going to have a glass of wine in front of the fire, give our fluffy black cat extra treats, and you are, as always, welcome to join us. Thank you for stopping by, we're glad you're here!. . . . .If you enjoy our show, please rate and review on Apple Podcasts or GoodPods, or give us a 5-star rating on whatever platform you prefer!https://linktr.ee/TrueCrimeBnB....?utm_source=linktree
