The opposite of being a contentious woman is one who has a quiet and gentle spirit. I don't think I've pursued that well over the years. I was made to think those things were not good, that I was a wallflower if I did those things. I was encouraged that getting out there and getting things done, and the attainment of accomplishment was the goal. I've been looking around the last few years and realize that the things I've pursued and even been encouraged in, might not be the best for me. The way of Christ is counter-cultural. It doesn't go along easily with what we are told make a "good woman". Right now, we don't even what to get down to basics on knowing what a woman is, so "good" has to go out the window with it! As I've been doing more studying, learning and figuring out what it truly looks like to be a woman after God's heart I'm finding it isn't what I bought into for all those years. It's not what they're peddling now for young women. That's what we talk about today. Join me!
