Fertility Tales | Ep. 1 | In conversation with IVF Specialist, Dr. Aviva Pinto Rodrigues
In this inaugural episode of Fertility Tales, we welcome Dr. Aviva Pinto Rodrigues, a fertility specialist at Nova IVF Fertility. She is a renowned specialist with over 25+ years of experience in the field of reproductive medicine. An author and advocate of social freezing, she has handled a unique case of a woman with Swyer Syndrome conceived successfully ( 1 out of 50 reported worldwide). In this episode we dwell on how she chose medicine as a career and when she took the decision from obstetrics and gynecology to reproductive medicine. She also discusses the social stigma that was persisting earlier and now how families come together to talk about and find a solution. She also talks about how egg reserve goes down and how quality gets affected when it comes to Asian women when compared to Caucasian women. She also discussed how medical science and technology has helped couples deliver IVF babies. A much less discussed topic among the society she also talks about fertility preservation for career oriented women and men and couples who are still not mentally ready for parenthood.
