The world of communication within our school systems at times can be daunting for our English as a second language populations. Enter Genevieve “Genny” Gonzalez, Bilingual Speech Pathologist, who has dedicated her life and career to helping curb those gaps so that our students are identified accurately and not overrepresented. Not always will there be a need to have assessments and evaluations completed, thankfully we have Genny who brings her expertise, ethnic flavor, advocacy, and love which safeguards the social identities and cultures of our multilingual learners who need it most.
