Interview with Jet Jurgensmeyer
We had the pleasure of interviewing Jet Jurgensmeyer over Zoom video!

Rising actor and talented musician Jet Jurgensmeyer recently released his latest single, "Falling Too".

"Falling Too" showcases Jurgensmeyer's growth as an artist and his ability to captivate audiences with his heartfelt vocals. The song was written collaboratively by Jet Jurgensmeyer, Brian Sauerwald, Kyle Winski, and Pierson Swanson. The production team behind the single includes Jurgensmeyer himself, Dan Frizsell, and Butch Baker and it was recorded at Addiction Sound Studios in Nashville, Tennessee.

The song's narrative revolves around a young person's poignant experience with first love. Jurgensmeyer acknowledges the remarkable power of music and songwriting to create stories that can be interpreted in diverse ways by different listeners. While he personally connects with the story, he believes that it will evoke unique emotions and perspectives for each listener.

Jurgensmeyer reflects on the song's creative process, revealing that it took shape unexpectedly. As the four collaborators sat down to write, they didn't have a specific idea in mind. Initial concepts didn't quite resonate, but the atmosphere changed when Kyle introduced some progressions he had developed, filling the silence. Brian then began mumbling the start of a verse. Interestingly, Jurgensmeyer had saved a chorus idea on his phone for several months, and when it came time to develop the chorus, he suggested that idea, which resonated with everyone involved.

Jet Jurgensmeyer expresses his hope that "Falling Too" will ignite anticipation for his upcoming album and EP, saying “I hope that this gets people excited for the next album and EP. The next list of songs is going to really show where I’m at with my life through my songwriting. Hopefully, people will listen and hear me growing as a person, in my faith, and as I go through life just like the rest of the world.”

Beyond the music industry, Jurgensmeyer has made a name for himself as an award-nominated actor, delivering remarkable performances in both comedic and dramatic roles. Notable appearances include the series regular role of "Boyd" on FOX's hit comedy, "Last Man Standing," as well as lending his voice to the lead character, Pip the penguin, in the Disney animated series, "TOTS."

In addition to his thriving acting career, Jurgensmeyer has accumulated an impressive list of film credits, including roles in "Cupid's Proxy," "Hey Arnold! The Jungle Movie," "Ferdinand," and "American Sniper." He has also made appearances in popular television shows such as "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Grey's Anatomy," and "Black-ish." Jurgensmeyer's talent extends to voice acting, with significant roles in Nickelodeon's "Shimmer and Shine," "Bubble Guppies," Amazon's "Stinky & Dirt," and Disney's "Special Agent Oso" and "Pickle and Peanut."

We want to hear from you!
