Is Marriage Outdated? (A reply to a Huffington Post article)
In this episode of Truthspresso Express I examine a 2017 contributing article from the Huffington Post. David Wygant, a "dating and relationship coach" argues that we need to "redefine" marriage to fit modern society. How original!Wygant treats a lifetime commitment as an "illusion" and a childhood fairy tale.Since we live longer on average than our ancestors from the Middle Ages, we "grow" and "change" a lot throughout our adulthood. There should be room for five or six "loving relationships" if we live long enough. And the stigma of divorce needs to go, of course. Not recognizing the truth of God's design, it shouldn't shock us when the world can't figure out why marriage even exists as a "tradition."Sources Consulted:David Wygant, "Is Marriage An Outdated Tradition," Huffington Post, March 17, 2017.Scriptures Referenced:Ephesians 5:31-33We value your feedback!Have questions for Truthspresso?
