Jack Eichel takes shot at VGK Wags on recent podcast
Jack Eichel said on the Missin Curfew podcast last week that the Wives and Girlfriends (WAGS) of VGK players got a little ahead of themselves when they started to plan for a victory celebration before Game 5 of the Western Conference Final against Dallas. He said planning was already starting for the players and where they would celebrate. "They were saying "are we gonna do this or that after the game." It might have been a distraction as VGK lost to Dallas 4-2 and the series shifted back to Dallas. "That stuff kinda bothers me. Let's focus on winning" Eichel added. He said when the Golden Knights were ready to wrap up the Stanley Cup series against Florida in Game 5, he told the team: "I don't want to hear a word about what's gonna happen after this game until Game Five is over." He told the team to worry about taking care of business and then they could celebrate with a win. Eichel also talked about how close his team was, saying "you get to the point where you care about the guy next to you more than yourself." Also on the show... Misha Donskov winds up in Dallas with his former boss Peter DeBoer. And the Cup visits Calgary with goalies Logan Thompson and Adin Hill.
