Hour 3 of The FAN Morning Show kicks off with Brook Jacoby, former Blue Jays hitting coach, stopping by to discuss Jose Bautista’s impending induction into the Blue Jays’ Level of Excellence, his memories from working with Bautista in Toronto, and the role of a hitting coach in today’s MLB game. Afterwards, Justin and Brent and joined by MLB Network’s Harold Reynolds (20:56) to chat about his experience being in the broadcast booth for Bautista’s iconic “bat flip” homer in 2015, the Blue Jays’ offensive warts this season, the evolution of hitting over the past 5-10 years, Baltimore’s ascent this season, if the Astros are still the class of the AL, and Seattle’s current seven-game winning streak.
