Scotty Trexler was a 21-month old that was living in East Tennessee in 1987. After enduring abuse his entire life at the hands of his mother, Tammy Trexler, and her live-in boyfriend, Kerry Bowers, he eventually succumbed to his injuries and died on May 29th, 1987. Scotty had to live through sadistic abuse from Kerry Bowers while people continuously failed him by knowing of the abuse, yet they never said a word. After public outrage at the murder of Scotty, Tennessee Governor signed the "Scotty Trexler Law" into legislation in 1988. This case was one of extreme emotion during the research process and recording, but these are the stories that must be told. Scotty Trexler deserved better, he deserved love, but he was even never given a chance at life.Resources: https://www.timesnews.net/news/local-news/scotty-trexlers-killer-freed-after-serving-more-than-26-years/article_491b0d59-6917-5cda-a8c2-387fa0e9e566.htmlhttps://heinonline.org/HOL/LandingPage?handle=hein.journals/umem23&div=28&id=&page=https://www.anylaw.com/case/08-02-89-state-tennessee-v-kerry-phillip-bowers/court-of-criminal-appeals-of-tennessee/08-02-1989/3cjhX2YBTlTomsSBQFqDKingsport Press Newspaper: May 31st, 1987
