Contrarily to what its name may suggest, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is one of the smallest countries in the European Union. That wasn’t always the case: indeed, over a period of 250 years and 3 partitions, Luxembourg gradually but surely went from a surface of 10,700km2 to its current size of 2,586 square kilometers.
