normalizing discomfort

There are things we need to normalize- things like water conservation, and the discomfort of growth; and there are things we need to keep from normalizing, or even de-normalize, such as drought, or the slow drains on our (and our employees) patience and energy when we have to work within settings and systems that just don't work they way they should.
